Statkraft contributes to emergency response efforts after earthquake in Albania

“Our thoughts are with the Albanian people who have been hit by this earthquake disaster. Statkraft wants to support the on-going relief work through contributing to the IFRC’s emergency appeal”, says Statkraft's Senior Vice President Albania,  Tron Engebrethsen.

Statkraft has committed to support with 50.000 Euro to contribute to the ongoing efforts of emergency response. This committed amount shall be channelled through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Statkraft has been present in Albania since 2007, mainly through the development of the Devoll Hydropower Project. The project structures of Banja and Moglicë hydropower plants have not been negatively affected by the earthquake.
