Organisation

The CEO is responsible for Statkraft’s operations towards the Board and has delegated various responsibilities to the Executive Vice Presidents (EVP) of the business and staff areas.

Our business areas:

• Nordics is asset owner of Statkraft's power production within hydro, wind and solar in the Nordic countries as well as ownership position in other Norwegian regional power The Business area will also be responsible for Statkraft's offshore wind development.

• Europe is responsible for development and ownership of wind, solar, grid services, hydro assets in Europe outside of the Nordic countries. In addition, the business area is responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, and the group procurement function.

• International is responsible for acquiring, developing, owning and operating renewable assets outside western Europe, and covers hydro, wind, batteries and solar.

• Markets is responsible for commercially optimising and developing Statkraft’s flexible generation portfolio as well as providing market access, supporting investment decisions and securing long-term value through global hedging strategies.

• New Energy Solutions will be Statkraft’s incubator of new energy businesses and the business area where Statkraft can grow businesses that need a tailored business model. 

Our Staff Areas:

• The CFO  & IT organisation is responsible for optimising financial management, driving Group performance, allocating resources efficiently, managing risk, and IT.

• Corporate Staff  is responsible for functions supporting the whole Statkraft Group, including HR, Corporate Relations (communication and PA), Sustainability, Governance & Compliance, HSSE, Corporate Strategy & Analysis and Corporate Office.

The Head of Corporate Audit reports functionally to the Board of Directors and administratively to the CEO. This function is not a member of the corporate management and participates in the CFO management team.

Statkraft AS is the parent company of multiple subsidiaries, and is fully owned by Statkraft SF, which is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
